Bike Night turns into gift of a van

What started out as an idea at a Buford American Legion Bike Night several months ago turned into the gift of a pre-certified 018 Kia Sedona Mini-van specialized van for a single mom and her three children.

Thanks to the advocacy of American Legion member Derek Dugan, his fellow motorcycle-rider veterans and 11@11 Business Development Group people started working to secure the donation of a van to Tammy Puckett. She’s the mother of Sarah, Austin and Connor, all of whom have special medical conditions. The bulk of the funds came from Christian Brothers’ Giving Exchange Committee for Christian Brothers Automotive Group, based in Houston, Texas.

Pictured here are some of the people involved in the donation, from left: Jason Frye, Derek Dugan, Ric Cline of Mall of Georgia Kia, Connor Puckett and his mom Tammy Puckett, Tom Burgess of Christian Brothers Automotive Group, Pandora Theofinidas, and Bruce Troville of Troville Insurance.
