Happy holidays from Margaritaville at Lanier Islands

By Pamela A. Keene

Plans are well under way for the holiday celebration at Margaritaville at Lanier Islands. In addition to expanding the Islands’ traditional Magical Nights of Lights, Margaritaville will introduce License to Chill Snow Island, with winter-themed carnival rides, ice skating and an all-new snow tubing hill. The attractions will be open from mid-November through February 24, 2019.

“We can’t wait to debut this unique, island-inspired winter wonderland at Margaritaville at Lanier Islands,” said Darby Campbell, president of Safe Harbor Development LLC, which has invested $3.5 million in the holiday event. “We’re giving new meaning to ‘chill out’ with some exciting new attractions and look forward to seeing Margaritaville at Lanier Islands become a true year-round destination.”

The 26th Annual Magical Nights of Lights has been extended by a mile and will have 19 new displays, some with a Margaritaville theme.

License to Chill Snow Island and Magical Nights of Lights will open November 16, 2018, through February 24, 2019. Entrance into Magical Nights of Lights starts at $43 per vehicle. Tickets to License to Chill Snow Island begin at $24.99.
