The Boys & Girls Clubs of Lanier were the real winners at the 22nd Annual Holiday Golf Tournament in November. The event raised $64,000.

“We had our best year, from both the number of participants and the amount of money we raised for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Lanier,” said Alex Laidlaw, with Holiday Marina. “We were nearly 30 percent up from last year’s funds raised.”

Social distancing guidelines limited the number of players at Lanier Islands Legacy Golf Course to 128. “People really came through this year, even with the pandemic, and it was our best turnout ever,” Laidlaw said. “We are so grateful for all our sponsors and the players who supported us.”

Brenda Bohn, development and communications director of the boys and girls clubs, said “We are grateful to Alex Laidlaw for his ongoing support and coordination of this year’s record breaking 22nd Annual  Holiday Golf Classic. We continue to be incredibly humbled by the generous support of this wonderful community we serve.”
