Inaugural Corporate Olympics a hit at Olympic park

By Alan Hope

Poly Enterprises of Gainesville won the first Corporate Olympics at Lake Lanier Olympic Park last month. The company was tops in the 12-team field that ranged from real estate businesses to government agencies. Second place was Resource properties with third going to Gainesville Parks and Recreation.

The event “exceeded our expectations” said Robyn Lynch, park manager. “All of the participants expressed to us that it was a unique and fun team-building experience.”

The five-person teams went through the 13-stop obstacle course that included water balloon volleyball, beach ball relay, hula hoop, tug of war, and a dunking booth.

“Lake Lanier Olympic Park is committed to continuing to increase community programming and events and to make capital improvements to the park for the community to enjoy,” Lynch said.

Following the competition, participants received awards and then took in Food Truck Friday at the venue.
