Lighthouse Marine Solutions takes over Amaysing Services

By Pamela A. Keene
This spring, two long-time friends became business partners in Lighthouse Marine Solutions. Chris Pfahl and Darren Boatwright purchased Amaysing Services on Browns Bridge Road and have already expanded their services.
“We plan to add more services than dock building and repairs and grow our company to serve customers on Lake Lanier and other lakes in North Georgia,” Pfahl said. “Already, we’re providing electrical, lighting and audio services on docks and boats and we plan to do much more.”
The two have known each other about six years. Both have boats at Port Royale and when Amaysing Services came on the market, they purchased it.
“All of the employees came over with us to the new business,” Boatwright said. “We’re off to a really great start, even in this time of the pandemic.”
They have been installing both floating docks and fixed docks, redecking docks and building party decks. They also have a dock-watch program to keep up with changing lake levels.
Pfahl has been in the building contracting business for 45 years. He moved to Atlanta 28 years ago and began doing lake-lot buildouts. He also has coached high school sports. Boatwright grew up in the Republic of Panama, where his father was with the Panama Canal Commission. He has worked in food service operations.
“Chris has the construction and building experience and I have the financial background, so we are committed to providing excellent service for whatever a homeowner needs,” Boatwright said.
“So many people around the lake are in need of repairs, maintenance and enhancements to their docks,” Pfahl said, “and we are proud to take on this business and see it grow.”
