Sailing

All year long, colorful sailboats make their way up and down Lake Lanier – from below Browns Bridge south to Buford Dam. Some are cruisers, some are racers; some are just learning to sail through the lake’s three sailing schools. Lanier has one of the most active inland sailing communities in the Southeast. More than 60 boats participate in the spring/summer/fall Wednesday night racing series, sponsored by Atlanta Inland Sailing Club.

These races are open to non-club members interested in connecting with the racing scene on Lake Lanier. For more information, visit www.SailLanier.com and click on the club that's hosting the race.
